• Lead the team responsible for accreditation of Loughry College as a degree-awarding institution by the Open University in 1997.
• Member of the team responsible for the validation of the Post-graduate Diploma/ MSc in Food Biotechnology with the University of Ulster in 1999.
• Lead the team responsible for responding to Institutional Review of Loughry College by the Open University in 2002.
• Contributed, as chair of the College Teaching and Learning Committee, to the institutional processes leading to validation of the BSc (Hons) degree in Supply Management in 1998 and an extensive range of other courses.
• External Examiner at University College Cork (1995 – 1999) and 2001-2004
• External Examiner at Sheffield Hallam University (2005– )
