What are those greenish spots on the rind of the Drunken Goat cheese? It actually looks like mold, you can easily scratch it off and it developed only 2 days after I bought it, every time so far. What causes them and what is itQuestion   Thanks for any answers Smile

Muhzel you are describing mould or mold growth. It is happening a little early only two days in the fridge. Mould spores are probably in your fridge and where you live and once you open the cheese to the atmosphere it becomes vulnerable to infection. Most of the moulds that grow on cheese are harmless.

Thank you Michael. Yes it absolutely looked like mold, I just was very astonished that it already grew after 2 days. I better clean my fridge thoroughly, I don't want to eat (maybe harmful) mold!
