Website upgraded to Joomla 1.7

I finally upgraded the Dairy Science and Food Technology website from Joomla version 1.5 to 1.7 today. Fairly easy. However 1.5 templates are not compatible with the latest version and you will note a new template. There is now the option to give each page a different template and there have been some changes to the database so quite big changes.  
During the upgrading process the site was down for a few hours so apologies for any inconvenience. One of the advantages of Joomla 1.7 is that it has a built in updater. This should make version updating simple and quick to do in the future. Joomla is a really good example of what highly talented altruistic people can achieve and it is free.

I will be fine tuning the site over the next few weeks but this should only cause minimal disruption. So if anything is not working please try again in 30 mins or so and all should be OK again.
