Calculator for determining the MSNF content of cream

To use, replace the fat value shown with the cream-fat-value you want to test and press the calculate button.

  Cream
  % fat
  % MSNF 5.9
  NOTES

Given cream containing 20 % fat, the MSNF component can be calculated as follows: 100 kg of cream at 20 % fat is equivalent to 20 kg of cream and 80 kg of MSNF. The MSNF in the 80 kg is 80*0.09 = 7.2 kg or 7.2 % in the cream. This approach yields approximate values. This free calculator is provided for educational purposes and is not warranted in any way. Determination of the actual MSNF concentration is always advisable.
