DSFT Temperature Converters

This section provides a range of temperature converters. The default setting for the number of decimals is 4 for °Celsius to °Fahrenheit and °Fahrenheit to °Celsius. The Kelvin converters use a default of 2 decimal places.

To convert °C to °F multiply by 9, then divide by 5, and then add 32.

100 °C = 100 x 9 + 32
                     5
=212 °F.

°Fahrenheit is converted to °C by first substracting 32, multiplying by 5 and then dividing by 9.

212 °F =(212 -32) x 5
                      9

=100 °C

Kelvin, note no degree sign used, is calculated by adding 273.15 to °C.
